Bretton Woods Nordic CenterDec. 30th Moonlight Cross Country Ski/Snowshoe Tour and Sleigh Ride. This popular tour departs from the Nordic Center at 6:30 p.m. and includes cider and hot chocolate at the Bretton Woods Nordic Center. Horse-drawn sleigh rides are also available. Just a stone’s throw away is Franconia Notch. The “Notch” is one of the White Mountain’s most attractive locations to visit. Here you will find excellent views, walking paths and hiking trails. Bicycle riding is safe and scenic along the 8-mile bike path carved through the Notch, and there’s great swimming nearby at the stream-fed Echo Lake with it’s sand beach and full facilities.
